Description

The ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase (UCH) sub-family of deubiquitinases are cysteine proteases and that catalyze the removal of ubiquitin from ubiquitin chains and ubiquitinated proteins. UCH deubiquitinases belong to MEROPS family C12. (Adapted from PMID:19626045).
