Description

The V0 domain of V-ATPases is the integral membrane domain responsible for the translocation of protons across the membrane. It is assembled from four to five different subunits (a, c, c'', d and e in D.mel) that are expressed as multiple isoforms in a tissue-specific manner. (Adapted from PMID:20450191 and FBrf0188241).
