Description
Description
Dyneins are minus end-directed microtubule motor protein complexes. Dynein light intermediate chains (LIC) are subunits of dynein complexes. In cytoplasmic dynein complexes, dynein LIC binds as a dimer to dynein heavy chains and is involved in cargo attachment. (Adapted from PMID:19935668 and FBrf0206979).
Notes on Group

Although Dlic has a P-loop/G domain, it probably does not possess GTPase activity. Human cytoplasmic light intermediate chain 1 (DYNC1LI1) preferentially binds GDP (PMID:25272277).
