Description
Description
The Na+/K+ transporting P-ATPase α-subunit is the catalytic component of the sodium pump, which catalyzes hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. (Adapted FBrf0155879.)
Notes on Group

In FBrf0220434 and FBrf0155879, 'CG3701' was referred as an α (like) subunit of the Na+/K+ transporting P-ATPase. Subsequently this gene was split into CG45062 and CG45063 (see FBrf0222649). Neither of the resulting gene models contain all the functional domains to be a P-ATPase, and therefore neither are included in this group.
