Description
Description

Rhomboid pseudoproteases (iRhoms) are a subfamily of rhomboid-like intramembrane serine proteases, that lack key catalytic residues. In Drosophila, iRhoms can negatively regulate epidermal growth factor signaling by preventing the cleavage of rhomboid substrates, promoting their degradation. (Adapted from FBrf0213387).
