Description
Description
The mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) replisome is multiprotein assembly required for the replication of mitochondrial DNA. The complex catalyzes the unwinding and strand synthesis of mtDNA. (Adapted from PMID:38884788.)
Notes on Group

Unlike canonical DNA replication, a specific mitochondrial DNA primase has not been identified. Instead, priming is coupled to mitochondrial RNA polymerase-dependent transcription (PMID:38884788, FBrf0253515).
