DMEHAB, Drm-EH
neuropeptide - acts directly on the CNS to release the stereotyped motor programs that trigger the shedding of the old cuticle at the end of each molt
Please see the JBrowse view of Dmel\Eh for information on other features

AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Eh protein is observed in EH neurosecretory neuron (Vm) neurons in pharate adults. In addition, expression is observed in locations similar to two groups of dorsal neurons in the central brain stained with a Gal4 reporter (Scer\GAL4Eh-pan-Gal4). One of these groups consists of 6-7 closely clustered neurons laterally disposed in each brain hemisphere with cell bodies near the superior posterior slope (referred to as dorsolateral (Dl) neurons). The second group consists of approximately three pairs of neurons clustered around the midline at the level of the Antler (referred to as the dorsomedial (Dm) neurons).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
In a sample of 79 genes with multiple introns, 33 showed significant heterogeneity in G+C content among introns of the same gene and significant positive correspondence between the intron and the third codon position G+C content within genes. These results are consistent with selection adding against preferred codons at the start of genes.
