The effects of a high sucrose diet on live weight, total protein, stored lipid and glycogen and crude activities of 12 enzymes involved in energy metabolism are quantified. The activities of many enzymes are reduced by the sucrose treatment.
Gramoxone has no mutagenic effect on the genetic background of Men.
Presence of an extra dose of the region from 8D10-12 to 9A1-2 results in an approximately 25% increase in Men activity.
All null alleles tested survive and are fertile in combination with Df(3R)ry31, which lacks Men+.
The NADPH/NADP ratio in null genotypes is one-seventh that of wild type.
