Please look at the allele reports for the complete phenotype data
The RNA transcribed from this gene shows a decrease in length during the period in which it accumulates. This is due to a progressively shorter poly(A) tail.
Eig71Ea, Eig71Eb, Eig71Ec, Eig71Ed, Eig71Ee and Eig71Ef have very reduced levels of transcript accumulation in hemizygous brrbp-1 larvae and pupae compared to wild type.
        Ecdysteroid-regulated gene.
71E region contains a cluster of 11 developmentally regulated genes. The transcriptional structure, gene organisation and expression pattern are studied.
The br complex (BR-C) early gene encoded by the Z1 isoform (rbp) directly activates late gene transcription (genes from the 71E salivary glands late puff) by interacting with late gene cis-acting regulatory elements and this interaction is responsible for the temporal linkage of early and late ecdysone-induced gene expression.
