Dyak\sop transcripts are expressed at approximately the same level at all stages of embryonic development as well as in adult ovaries and whole adult flies. In situ hybridization reveals ubiquitous expression in embryos and throughout oogenesis with expression heaviest in nurse cells.
Dyak\sop transcripts are preferentially transcribed in exponentially growing cells and are particularly abundant in ovaries.
