AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.
Annotated transcripts do not represent all supported alternative splices within 5' UTR.
Gene model reviewed during 5.47
545 (aa); 60 (kD predicted)
Predicted from sequence analysis of P1 clone DS05563 (accession L32750). Authors speculate that there must be an additional nucleotide in exon 3 at position 2109 to preserve the reading frame and the homology to the human Cctg orthologue. As a result the predicted protein differs slightly from that predicted by Martin et al. (FBrf 83285). It is 545aa in length as opposed to 531aa. Note, the authors invoke an odd splice junction sequence (agg) at the 3' end of intron 1. This results in the addition of one amino acid at this point relative to Martin et al. The splic
junction predicted by Martin et al. has the traditional (ag) sequence at the intron junction and the resulting amino acid sequence lines up better with the human Cctg sequence. If this is taken into account, the Cctγ protein is predicted to have a length of 544 amino acids.
Heterooligomeric complex of about 850 to 900 kDa that forms two stacked rings, 12 to 16 nm in diameter.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Source for identity of: CCT3 Cctγ
FlyBase curator comment: Renamed from 'Cctγ' to 'CCT3' to unify the nomenclature used for the CCT/TRiC subunits in FlyBase, following the nomenclature used in this paper (FBrf0210519) and other species.
RNAi screen using dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene in S2 cell results in dim staining of microtubules, and a short monopolar spindle. This phenotype can be observed when the screen is performed with or without Cdc27 dsRNA.
