AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Expression pattern inferred from unspecified enhancer trap line.
klg transcripts are first expressed at embryonic stage 12 in the CNS. They are expressed at a high level in a limited number of neurons in the CNS and continue to be expressed through embyrogenesis and into larval stages. By stage 14, they are also expressed in a limited number of neurons of the external sensory organs in the PNS. In larvae, klg transcripts are expressed in the eye imaginal disc. Transient expression is observed in a band of cells three rows wide that is located about 4-5 rows behind the morphogenetic furrow. Expres ion is not detected in the next 2-3 rows but is then observed in multiple cells per ommatidial cluster. This resolves to expression in R7 only within three rows. R7 expression continues throughout the development of the eye. After pupariation, expression in R8 begins. klg is also expressed in a subset of neurons in the lamina in third instar larvae.
klg surrounds the neuropils and partially overlaps with expression driven by Scer\GAL4repo.PU and, separately, by Scer\GAL4elav.PU.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

The genomic organisation of klg has been determined, and its expression pattern has been analysed.
klg is expressed in a pattern indistinguishable from that of the enhancer trap line P{HZ}klgH214. klg is a member of the immunoglobulin (Ig) domain superfamily. Recessive lethal mutations in klg have been recovered that fail to complement E(sev)3D.
