AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: reference states 0-4 hr AEL
The 2.5 kb Mat89Bb transcript is expressed at high levels in ovaries and in 0-4 hour embryos, and at low levels in other stages and tissues, including testes. Mat89Bb transcripts are detected in nurse cells starting at stage S9, and are exported to the oocyte at stage S10. At stage S10, expression is also detected in follicle cells.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
New stable cell line derived from S1 : Stable S1 cell lines containing inducible transgenes for IntS6, defl (also known as IntS7), IntS12, asun (also known as IntS13), or IntS14 were created. They are denoted DL1 pMtnA IntS6, DL1 pMtnA IntS7, DL1 pMtnA IntS12, DL1 pMtnA IntS13, and DL1 pMtnA IntS14 by the author.
Mat89Bb is required for normal nucleus-centrosome coupling in primary spermatocytes and for the normal attachment between the nucleus and the basal body in postmeiotic spermatids. Mat89Bb is also required for the normal perinuclear localisation of dynein-dynactin complexes in both spermatocytes and spermatids.
Putative substrate for the kinase png.
Source for identity of: asun Mat89Bb
The gene is named "asunder" (set aprt in position or space) based on the mutant phenotype of a striking loss of association between asters and the nucleus during prophase in primary spermatocytes.
