First identified by protein electrophoresis as LCP5; molecular studies showed that a protein of this mobility is coded by two genes in the cuticle protein gene cluster in 65A, Lcp65Ab1 and Lcp65Ab2. Several electrophoretic alleles of LCP5 were identified. These are listed under Lcp65Ab1; some may be Lcp65Ab2 alleles.
