A Myc-epitope-tagged qkr54B protein expressed in HeLa cells migrates with a molecular mass of approximately 50 kD. qkr54B protein binds homopolymeric RNA in vitro (poly(A) and poly(U)), and the GSG domain is necessary but not sufficient for RNA binding. qkr54B protein can associate into homomultimers, and the GSG domain is necessary for this self-association. A GFPFBtr0091350:pb-XRqkr54B fusion protein activates apoptotic pathways in mouse NIH 3T3 and Drosophila S2 cells.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
