AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

Symbol changed from 'Trn' to 'Tnpo' (as of FB2017_04) to reduce confusion with the different gene 'trn' (tartan, FBgn0010452). The symbol of 'Trn' (Transportin) was changed because: (i) it has a smaller associated literature than 'trn' (tartan); (ii) it was named/characterized subsequently to 'trn' (tartan) (1998/FBrf0103092 vs 1993/FBrf0064397); (iii) it was originally named (FBrf0103092) based on its homology to the human 'transportin 1' gene, which now has the symbol 'TNPO1' and is also the symbol used for the orthologous gene in other vertebrates.
S2 cells treated with dsRNA generated against this gene show reduced phagocytosis of Candida albicans compared to untreated cells.
Trn has been cloned and sequenced.
