Dyrk3 transcript is expressed in the third antennal segment in late pupae (65 hr APF). Dyrk3 transcript is expressed the morphogenetic furrow of the eye disc in late third instar larvae; transcript is not detected in the antennal disc at this stage. Eye disc morphogenetic furrow expression is localized slightly ahead of elav-expressing terminally differentiated neuronal cells.
