AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Component of the TIM22 complex, whose core is composed of Tim22, associated with peripheral protein Tim9b/Tim10b and the 70 kDa heterohexamer. In most cases, the 70 kDa complex is composed of TIMM9 and TIMM10 (By similarity).
The twin CX3C motif contains 4 conserved Cys residues that form 2 disulfide bonds in the mitochondrial intermembrane space. However, during the transit of Tim9b/Tim10b from the cytoplasm into the mitochondrion, the Cys residues probably coordinate zinc, thereby preventing folding and allowing its transfer across the mitochondrial outer membrane (By similarity).

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Dicistronic annotation CG33066 split out into separate annotations for each open reading frame, CG17767 and CG12788, in release 4.2 of the genome annotation. CG17767 corresponds to Tim9b.
