jhamt levels in the ring gland at the wandering third instar larval stage are ~11-fold higher than that of larvae 10 hours earlier.
jhamt transcript is expressed at high levels in first instar larvae, which expression levels gradually decreasing during larval development. Expression is at a second peak in wandering third instar larval. jhamt expression is at its lowest levels in early and mid-pupal stages, then peaks sharply in pharate adults (P-stage 14-15). Expression is also observed in both male and female adults. In situ analysis reveals somatic muscle expression at embryonic stage 17, and corpus allatum expression at stage 17. jhamt transcript is also expressed in the corpus allatum in wandering third instar larvae.
