The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

View Dmel\CG31834 in JBrowsePlease Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Annotation CG31834 eliminated in release 5.1 of the genome annotation.
New annotation (CG31834) in release 3 of the genome annotation.
EMS induced alleles of "l(2)35Bb" fail to complement the PBac{RB}mole02670 insertion in the mol transcription unit, suggesting that the "l(2)35Bb" complementation group corresponds to mol and not to the CG31834 annotation as previously thought.
The "l(2)35Bb" complementation group was previously assigned to the CG31834 annotation (also known as " BG:DS00929.16 ", see FBrf0111326) in FlyBase. However, the CG31834 annotation has been eliminated in release 5.1 of the genome annotation, and the CG4482 annotation (corresponding to mol) on the opposite strand has been extended at the 5'end, such that it overlaps the region of the genome where the CG31834 annotation used to be. This together with complementation data from Crosby and Roote, 2006.3.2, personal communication to FlyBase suggests that the "l(2)35Bb" complementation group actually corresponds to the mol locus.
" BG:DS00929.16 " may correspond to "l(2)35Bb" or "l(2)35Bf".
