	RNAi screen using dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene results in chromosome misalignment on the metaphase spindle when assayed in S2 cells in the presence of Cdc27 dsRNA. This phenotype cannot be observed when the screen is performed without Cdc27 dsRNA. (Goshima et al., 2007) dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene results in a reduced mean cell diameter and a corresponding decrease in S6k phosphorylation. Silencing raptor generates a cell-expression profile similar to that of rapamycin-treated cells. (Guertin et al., 2006) dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene decreases S6k phosphorylation but increases Akt1 phosphorylation in S2 cells.
