Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

Dicistronic annotation CG33075 split out into separate annotations for each open reading frame, CG14208 and CG14209, in release 4.2 of the genome annotation. CG14208 corresponds to Tyler and CG14209 corresponds to Shawn.
The genes of this dicistronic locus seem to encode mitochondrial transporters, so are named "Tyler" and "Shawn" after two energetic, 9 and 11 year old boys adopted by Chris Smith's parents. Name "Shawn" chosen by Chris Smith to mark his contribution to the FlyBase Release 3 annotation project.
