Named 'Sgroppino' because, after removal of the digestive track and reproductive system, a relatively larger mass of fat body tissue remains loosely attached to the abdominal carcass in mutants, forming large oleaginous droplets and appearing white - reminiscent of the Sgroppino cocktail.
