Gene Snapshot
Diabetes and obesity regulated (DOR) encodes a transcriptional coactivator of ecdysone receptor signaling required during metamorphosis. It is antagonized by insulin signaling via the product of foxo in the fat body and forms part of a feed-forward mechanism whereby ecdysone potentiates its own signaling. The product of DOR also regulates autophagosome formation and protein degradation via ecdysone signaling. [Date last reviewed: 2019-03-07]

Additional Descriptive Data
The relative abundance of the different protein isoforms was assayed. The "long" form is most abundant. The "FENLL" form, which has an extra domain due to an alternative splice, is generally at about half the level of the long form and the short form is expressed at low levels. In fat body of early pupae, The FENLL form predominates.
