AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Two independently regulated aryl sulfatase activities are shown to be present in Drosophila and are referred to as Type I and Type II. The peak of enzyme activity coincides with the time of hatching from embryo to larva.
The non-sequence localized gene 'Ars/Arylsulfatase' (FBgn0000122) was characterized as encoding an arylsulfatase in FBrf0045645 and mapped to 74A-79D in FBrf0063659. There are three candidate genes in that region that have been annotated with a relevant GO term ('sulfuric ester hydrolase activity') and have the InterPro signature 'Arylsulfatase B": CG7402, CG7408, CG32191. Therefore, the 'Ars' gene record has been obsoleted and the associated information and papers transferred to the three candidate genes.
