ORMDL transcript is expressed homogenously in syncitial and cellularized blastoderms. At germ band extension, ORMDL transcript is expressed in the germ band layer. At later stages, ORMDL transcript is localized to all ectodermal tissues. It is also ubiquitously distributed in wing, lag, haltere, and eye-antennal imaginal discs.
