p53 -dependent apoptosis in response to gamma radiation.
Ada2b is part of a SAGA-type complex.
Ada2b mutant animals die as pupae without any gross morphological abnormalities. However,
Ada2b is maternally contributed to the early embryo, which may mask an earlier phenotype.
Loss of
Ada2b function results in segmentation defects as well as massive apoptosis at the onset of early embryonic differentiation.
Mutants show pupal lethality.
