S2 cells treated with dsRNA against CG10225 display a significant increase in phospho-Stat92E nuclear accumulation upon os stimulation.
S2-derived S2-NP cells are treated with dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against CG10225 to assess the role of this gene in Stat92E tyrosine phosphorylation.
Injection into embryos of dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene causes a partial or complete transformation of denticles into naked cuticle in ~14% of the embryos. The most severe phenotypes exhibit deformation of both the head and spiracles. Almost all injected embryos exhibiting a strong naked cuticle phenotype are shorter than wild-type.
