AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Annotated transcripts do not represent all supported alternative splices within 5' UTR.
Gene model reviewed during 5.52
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Proc is expressed more strongly in clusters of cells in the abdominal neuromeres than the thoracic. Expression is in clusters located medially and laterally. In the abdominal neuromeres the median clusters contain at least six cells dorsally and four cells ventrally. Each of the lateral clusters contains about 4 cells. In the most posterior portion of the abdominal neuromeres four to six cells are strongly labelled. In each brain hemisphere weak expression is present in two or three lateral cells in the protocerebrum. Ventrally, near to the esophageal foramen, a set of three cell bodies express Proc.
Proc protein is faintly detected in layer 5 of the fan-shaped body.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
RNAi generated by PCR using primers directed to this gene causes a cell growth and viability phenotype when assayed in Kc167 and S2R+ cells.
