For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
FlyBase curator comment: in FBrf0048224, "l(2)49Fn" was considered to be allelic to "Pka-C1Cos-1" on the basis of the visible cupped-wing phenotype of l(2)49Fn1 when heterozygous over either Pka-C1Cos-1 or Df(2R)vg-B. However, FBrf0179171 demonstrates that a number of alleles previously assigned to the "Cos" locus actually map to two separate genes; Pka-C1 and Pka-R2, neither of which map to the 49F region. "l(2)49Fn" has therefore been reinstated in FlyBase as a separate gene until more information is known.
