For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
conv has an important role in tracheal epithelial morphogenesis, where it limits tube elongation. conv is required for the dynamic organisation of the transient lumenal matrix and normal structure of the cuticle that lines the tracheal lumen.
