RhoGAP18B is transcribed from at least two promoters separated by approximately 11kb.
RhoGAP18B mutants exhibit strong resistance to the sedating effects of ethanol.
Mutants show resistance to the behavioral effects of nicotine and altered responses to ethanol.
RNAi screen using dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene causes a phenotype when assayed in Kc167 and S2R+ cells: increased or polarized (uneven) accumulation of F-actin.
