AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Two different isoforms of whd protein are produced through the use of alternative exons 6A and 6B. Transcripts for both isoforms are detected in all larval and adult tissues tested by RT-PCR. Transcripts containing alternative exon 6B are present at similar levels in the tissues tested. By contrast, transcripts containing alternative exon 6A are significantly more prevalent in flight muscle than fat body.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) down-regulates a distinct splice isoform(s) of this gene.
Transcriptionally downregulated after 2h of insulin stimulation in Kc167 cells. Contains fkh response elements (FHREs) in the genomic upstream or intronic sequences.
