Northern blot analysis indicates that bin3 transcripts are most abundant in 0-2hr embryos, are at lower levels in 2-4hr embryos and drop dramatically in 4-24hr embryos. In situ hybridization shows that bin3 transcripts are distributed throughout the early embryo and in unfertilized eggs.
