AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Annotated transcripts do not represent all supported alternative splices within 5' UTR.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Area matching Drosophila EST AA536262. This EST forms a 1209bp contig with ESTs AA948897, AA539274 and AA392320. Sequence similarity to glycogen synthases.

Source for merge of CG6904 anon-WO0118547.108 was sequence comparison ( date:051113 ).
FlyBase curator comment: 'GlyS' and 'CG6904' reports merged because: i) several papers explicitly/implicitly link these two 'genes' (FBrf0219312, FBrf0150697, FBrf0212569, FBrf0173212); ii) 'GlyS' and 'CG6904' are the only 2 genes in Dmel annotated with the GO term 'glycogen (starch) synthase activity' (CG6904 is the only sequenced Dmel gene to have this term based on sequence similarity); iii) Consistent with this, the only Dmel protein that has an InterPro Glycogen synthase (IPR008631) motif is CG6904; iv) The sole ortholog of human 'glycogen synthase 1' & 'glycogen synthase 2' is CG6904 (according to the OrthoDB and Ensembl). Authors Andrew Clark and Kristi Montooth agree with the merge.
