Subcellularly, Impbeta11 protein is detected in the cytosol and weakly in the nuclear fractions in third instar larval stage lysates. Expression is also found in the synaptosome fraction in adult head lysates. Expression of Impbeta11 in third instar larvae localises to the nuclear envelope of motor neurons at the neuromuscular junction.
