AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Thought to be the structural gene for β Hydroxy acid dehydrogenase (L-β-hydroxyacid: NAD oxidoreductase). The enzyme is a dimer, based on the formation of hybrid enzyme in D.simulans X D.melanogaster hybrids, of molecular weight 6.3 x 104 daltons. Purification and biochemistry by Borak and Sofer (1971. Activity high in Malpighian tubules, less in muscles, intestine and fat body; absent from brain, salivary gland and imaginal discs. (Borak, 1972). Activity peaks at 72 hr after hatching, then declines through larval and pupal stages and increases to stable maximum level at 6 days of adult life (Tobler and Grell, 1978). Enzyme expendable; hemizygotes and homozygotes for null allele survive normally (Tobler and Grell, 1978).
