| Description |
Short sequencing reads of cDNA prepared from polyadenylated RNA isolated from 4-day-old adults that were heatshocked at 36
degrees C for 1 hr. Transcriptome represented as frequency of strand-specific reads along genome (see GBrowse presentation;
data in wiggle format); this collection is composed of uniquely aligned reads.

| Sample preparation |
Newly eclosed flies were kept at 25 degrees C for 4 days, then exposed to 36 degrees C wet heat for 1 hr, then returned to
25 degrees C for 30 minutes; 35% lethality was observed. Survivors were flash frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80
degrees C prior to RNA preparations. See report for modENCODE_mRNA-Seq_treatments for information on RNA isolation.
