PubMed Abstract	The problem of identification of true and false mutations of the mwh type was studied by means of gamma-irradiation in a test of somatic mosaics of wing cells of D. melanogaster. It was shown that the level of induction of mwh-like structures consisting of two trichomes and of true mwh mutations is the same if the former are located on the wing surface. Apparently, mwh-like structures located on veins should be assigned to morphoses. The necessity of taking into account two-trichome structures in this test is substantiated.
