To: flybase-updates@XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Subject: Isolation and characterization of Df(3L)BSC15 Isolation and characterization of Df(3L)BSC15 Jennifer Deal and Kevin Cook Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center, Indiana University Df(3L)BSC15 was isolated as an unexpected deletion event in the same screen that produced Df(3L)BSC10. Df(3L)BSC15 was recovered as a rhove-1-e1 recombinant chromosome from the cross rhove-1 pp e1 females x CyO, H{PDelta2-3}HoP2.1/+; rhove-1 P{lacW}mirrcre2/P{lacW}RpS12s2783 e1 males. Df(3L)BSC15 does not delete the chromosomal region in 69DF between the P insertions; instead, it has the breakpoints 70A6-7;70B6-7.
