Dear Ruth,
We were unaware that shu had been identified molecularly. In fact, I'm
still unaware of it, because I can find nothing in GenBank. Could you
please give me the accession number?
Cheers, Aubrey de Grey

When we blast our shu cDNA sequence we only obtain a genomic DNA
sequence CG 4735. The corresponding cDNA is LD24746. The predicted
translation product is longer than deduced from our cDNA sequencing. I
hope this helps and you can update the information for this gene.
Thanks for the help.

Hi,
That's a great start \-- but since your cDNA sequence is not in GenBank
we have no published (or even electronically published) data to link to.
However, if you wish, we can use your latest email as a source for the
merging of CG4735 (which we have as identified with LD24746) into shu.
Just let us know if that's what you'd like; if so, it will be apparent
on FlyBase (as a 'recent updates' entry for shu) within a few days.
Cheers, Aubrey

If that is OK with you it is OK with me. Thanks
