The deletion was isolated as a rhove-1-e1 recombinant chromosome from the cross rhove-1 pp e1 females x CyO, H{PDelta2-3}HoP2.1/+; rhove-1 P{lacW}Cdc27L7123/P{lacW}l(3)j1D5 e1 males. Polytene chromosome squashes showed the breakpoints 65E10-F1;65F2-6. Df(3L)BSC33 failed to complement qmL14.4.
