Dear Susan,
You are right, it is a change from Leu to Gln (CTG to CAG). Sorry for the confusion.

> Dear Dr. Bergmann,
> I am a curator at FlyBase and we are currently working on incorporating the details of your 2005 Development paper on Nc/Dronc. I have a question regarding one of your alleles.
Nc[L32] is described as being an amino acid substitution: Leu25Glu. However, this would require changes at all three nucleotides (CTG to GAA or GAG).
I wonder if this might be a typo, and the real mutation is Leu25Gln, > > which would be CTG to CAG (T to A).
If you could give us some help understanding this allele, we would > > very much appreciate it!
Thank you in advance,
Susan St. Pierre
