P{UAS-mCD8.mRFP} is a P{UAST} construct made by fusing mRFP from Tsien and Campbell (AF506027.1) to the mouse CD8 extracellular and transmembrane domain. The mCD8 sequence is the same as that present in P{UAS- mCD8::GFP.L } (FBtp0002652).
A CyO variant was constructed by transposing both P{UAS-mCD8.mRFP} and P{GAL4-Mef2.R} onto CyO. The new insertions are P{GAL4-Mef2.R}2 and P{UAS-CD8.mRFP}2. The balancer short name used in Bloomington stock genotypes will be CyO, P{GAL4-Mef2.R}2, P{UAS-mCD8.mRFP}2.
