You are indeed correct that there is no record of this line in the Deak paper, as I was surprised to see after reading your mail. However, this is the collection that we screened, and so it is an appropriate reference for the origin of the line.
We used the name that we did because this is how it was recorded in the list of stocks from this collection that were submitted to Szeged, e.g.
http://rice.bio.indiana.edu:7082/stocks/stock-centers/lk/szeged/szeged.csv
http://www.mcdb.ucla.edu/GeneticsScreen/indivstock2.php?stockid=218
Of course Szeged no longer exists, and the stock has perhaps moved to Kyoto (if it survived in Szeged). We still carry the stock, and Andreas Prokop is in the process of depositing it in Bloomington.
It is probably best to change the main name of this line/allele/insertion to be compatible with the FlyBase names of other lines from the same collection (whatever that is), while retaining our designation as a synonym.
Thanks,
Cahir

I'm curating your recent paper "The nuclear protein Waharan is required for endosomal-lysosomal trafficking in Drosophila." for FlyBase.
Therein, you refer to a mutation "l(3)S009413" (or "wahP1"), which in Supplementary Table S1 you reference to the Deak et al 1997 Genetics paper.
There are lots of P element lines listed in that paper, but I can't find anything matching "l(3)S009413", and there appears to be no record for this in FlyBase.
Can you tell me which line l(3)S009413 corresponds to in Deak et al?
It's not a problem for me to make a new allele/insertion report to capture l(3)S009413 in FlyBase, but I wanted to be sure we don't already have it in FlyBase under a different name.
Thanks for your time,
Steven.
