- The two DIP-like genes (CG31814 and CG45781/CG40378) should not be named at this time since we don't know what they do.
- 'DIPc' was used for the 'common DIP' in the original paper (FBrf0222007), but as a very similar symbol is already used for a different gene in FlyBase ('Dip-C', 'Dipeptidase C'), the symbol 'cDIP' has been chosen instead.
