The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Nansi Colley, University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Mppe2-1731 is an EMS-induced A to T substitution at nucleotide 80 of Mppe (CG8889) causing amino acid substitution E27V.
Mppe2-5417 also resulted from EMS mutagenesis, but the causative mutation is unknown. Two mutations lie within the upstream region of Mppe (CG8889), one mutation lies between exons 2 and 3, and four mutations lie in the intron between exons 3 and 4.
Both mutations were isolated from the Zuker collection (Koundakjian et al. (2004; FBrf0179036)) in the screen described in Rosenbaum et al. (2006; FBrf0191326).
