Mammalian DAPIT is a recently discovered component of the F0 subunit of the mitochondrial H+-ATP synthase (F-ATPase) (PMID: 26161955).  DIOPT predicts there are three orthologs of human DAPIT in D. melanogaster: Neb-cGP (40% protein identity), CG15459 (50% protein identity) and CG15458 (37% protein identity). Furthermore, these are the only three D. melanogaster genes to encode proteins with the "ATP synthase membrane subunit DAPIT" (IPR009125) InterPro domain.
