We have the translated peptide sequences for inckk3 and inckk4.
inckk3 : Met S T V F I N S R K S P N V L K K Q G T D Q W V K L N V G G T Y F L T T K T T L S R D P N S F L S Stop
inckk4 : Met S T V F I N S R K S P N V L K K Q G T D Q W V K L N V G G T Y F L T T K T T L S R D P N S F L S R L r r t a t Stop
where lower case letters are the frameshifted amino acids and the resulting early stop is indicated.
We no longer have the actual DNA sequence of the mutant. However, we know the number of nucleotides deleted in each allele so that I was able to reverse translate from the peptide. However, there could still be other possible DNA sequences that may result in the same AA sequence.
For inckk3 : there is a 4bp CGTC deletion after S49, resulting in a stop codon.
For inckk4 : there is a 4 bp TTCA deletion after L51, resulting in a frameshift and then a stop codon at 57.
