    1182-4H was haploid when it was established. Like other lines, it may go back in forth in ploidy (by factors of two), depending on the growth conditions and the general health of the cells. 1182-4H is a replacement at the DGRC for line D. It is a separate isolate of the same line that was previously distributed by the DGRC as "D". The DGRC D cells had become diploid (by flow cytometry assay); by the same assay, 1182-4H is still haploid.
